The client / the challenge

Measured Group have been repeat clients for years. They’re a mining and resources consultancy who offer a diverse range of services – from reporting and advice to technological geological services, tenement management and more. Their company comprises a large group of experts with projects in 40 countries around the world. We performed a complete brand overhaul for the Measured Group a few years ago that helped them expand their operations. And they recently got in touch as they were opening up a new branch in Singleton in regional New South Wales. At the time, they had zero brand presence in the township. It was likely no one knew they were there or even the services they offer. Measured Group were eager to build up business in the area.

Our strategic solution

Our solution was to create signage that not only made the Measured Group look good, it was informative and engaging as well. Measured Group needed to stand out and make an excellent first impression.

While it can be difficult to precisely measure the effect our branding work has on our clients’ profitability, all our brand-development clients experience significant growth after working with us. And this signage project is a great example to demonstrate how our brand strategy work brings our clients meaningful results.

We'd only been in town for 2 weeks when we received an invite to tender.

The lead came via a member of the client’s team noticing the office signage while getting a coffee across the road and hence suggested to his company that they contact us. 'More from your mine' spoke to him and he said he thought “that’s exactly what we want, maybe these guys can help us out”.

We won the tender and placed a geo in contract for 5 months. Happy days!”

Why was the signage so effective?

Not only did we design, scale and position the signage to be viewed from ground level by passersby on foot and in cars in a couple of directions (as best benefits a country town main street), the signage is also stylish and therefore projects many of the qualities of the brand including ‘Credible’ ‘Reliable’ ‘Trustworthy’, ‘Large Company’ and more.

The strapline ‘More from your mine’ positions Measured Group in the mining/geo sphere,

allowing the sign to target and communicate with potential customers.

Plus, the strapline reassures the client that Measured Group will solve one of the key concerns in the mining industry by promising to get them “more” from their mine.

Thanks to the signage, Measured Group can hold reassuring and enticing conversations with their prospective clients … without even having to be there.

To be invited to tender demonstrates a trust in a company, and – thanks to the signage – this occurred even before they’d interacted with anyone from the Measured Group.

Typically, potential clients do a quick Google and visit a company’s website as a credibility check before getting in touch. So, the signage needed to be backed up by a quality website that could be easily found from a Google search of the name. A succinct, compelling, informative website backed by a robust brand strategy was part of the brand overhaul we performed for Measured Group a few years ago.

This is just one of many examples of how we’ve helped Measured Group increase their perceived credibility to entice new business.
